This Privacy Policy explains how Centennial Insurance LLC, doing business as Centennial Insurance ("Centennial," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you use our websites, forms, Coverage Check tools, appointment features, communications, or related services.
This policy is intended for residents of the 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. We voluntarily extend the consumer rights described below to U.S. residents even where a particular state or territory law does not require every right, subject to identity verification, legal exceptions, and insurance-record retention requirements.
Depending on how you interact with Centennial, we may collect:
Name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, date of birth or age range, state/territory of residence, and other contact details.
Information you provide about existing coverage, requested coverage, beneficiaries, household or business circumstances, financial needs, insurance history, and information needed to evaluate or submit an insurance request.
When necessary for an insurance transaction and collected through an approved secure workflow, we may process information such as health or medical information, government identifiers, financial information, precise geolocation, or other information treated as sensitive by applicable law. We do not request sensitive underwriting information through ordinary marketing forms unless clearly identified and protected through an approved workflow.
Policies, statements, in-force illustrations, application documents, identification records, supporting financial or insurance records, and other documents you choose to provide.
Emails, text messages, chat messages, appointment information, customer-service communications, call notes, and, only where permitted and after any required notice or consent, call recordings or transcripts.
IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URLs, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, cookie or similar identifiers, and security/diagnostic information.
The date, time, source, exact disclosure version, phone number, checkbox or signature record, IP/session evidence where available, campaign/program, opt-out/revocation record, and related evidence of consent or communication preferences.
We may use personal information to:
Centennial may use artificial intelligence or automation for intake, scheduling, communications, document organization, summarization, quality assurance, routing, and customer-service support.
When you are interacting directly with a conversational AI system, Centennial will disclose that the system is AI rather than a human. AI may assist with administrative or informational tasks, but an AI system is not a licensed insurance producer. Unless separately approved by applicable law and carrier rules, Centennial does not use AI alone to make a final decision about insurance eligibility, underwriting, pricing, policy replacement, approval/declination, or binding.
If an interaction is recorded or retained as audio, Centennial will provide any notice and obtain any consent required by applicable law before recording or retaining the audio. You may request a human for material insurance matters.
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy:
Centennial does not sell personal information for money. Centennial does not sell, rent, or share mobile telephone numbers, SMS/MMS opt-in information, or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Centennial's launch policy is not to disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in a manner that constitutes a statutory "sale" or "share" without first implementing required notices, opt-out mechanisms, and preference-signal support. If we activate such advertising practices, this policy and the website controls will be updated before use.
Insurance transactions may be governed by federal and state insurance privacy laws, including Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act principles and state insurance privacy regulations. When required, Centennial will provide a separate insurance/financial privacy notice describing how nonpublic personal financial and health information is collected, disclosed, and protected.
This website Privacy Policy does not replace a transaction-specific insurance privacy notice where one is required.
Health information can be regulated by state consumer-health-data laws in addition to insurance privacy law. Centennial's policy is to collect health information only when needed for a consumer-requested insurance service and through an approved secure workflow.
Where a state law requires a separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, affirmative consent, separate sharing consent, or other special notice, Centennial will provide those materials before covered health data is collected or shared. See https://centennialinsurance.org/privacy/health-data/.
Centennial does not use consumer health data for targeted advertising and does not sell consumer health data.
Subject to identity verification and legal exceptions, Centennial offers U.S. residents the ability to request:
Centennial will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Submit a request at https://centennialinsurance.org/privacy/#submit-a-request, email support@centennialinsurance.org, or call (719) 666-6650. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law; we may require proof of authorization and identity verification.
If we deny a request, we will provide an explanation and appeal instructions where required.
Where legally required, Centennial recognizes qualifying universal opt-out preference signals. Centennial's intended national standard is to honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) as an opt-out of statutory sale and targeted advertising for the browser/device sending the signal, subject to technical and legal limitations.
For California residents, the categories of personal information we may collect are described in Section 1. The purposes are described in Section 2, and the categories of recipients are described in Section 4.
Centennial does not sell personal information for money and does not sell or share mobile/SMS opt-in data for third-party marketing. If any website advertising practice is later treated as a "sale" or "sharing" under California law, Centennial will provide a Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information mechanism and honor applicable preference signals.
We collect and use sensitive personal information only for permitted business purposes, to provide requested insurance services, comply with law, protect security, or as otherwise disclosed with any consent required by law. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics for unrelated marketing.
California residents may exercise applicable access, correction, deletion, opt-out, and limitation rights through the methods in Section 7. We do not offer financial incentives for personal information unless a separate legally compliant notice is provided.
We retain each category of personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the disclosed purpose, legal/regulatory requirements, insurance recordkeeping, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, security, and consent/DNC evidence. Telemarketing and consent records may be retained for at least five years where required or appropriate. Insurance transaction records may be retained longer where state insurance law, carrier agreements, litigation holds, or other legal obligations require it.
Centennial will not intentionally record or retain the audio of a consumer call without providing any legally required disclosure and obtaining any legally required consent. As a nationwide policy, Centennial will request affirmative permission before recording or retaining call audio/transcripts used for quality, training, or compliance.
If you do not consent, we will use a non-recorded permitted process when reasonably available or arrange another method of communication.
Marketing consent is optional and is not a condition of buying insurance or receiving a quote.
You may revoke marketing consent by any reasonable method. For calls, tell the caller you do not want further marketing calls or contact Centennial using the methods below. Centennial's policy is to implement clear marketing revocation requests within 24 hours across its automated marketing channels, except where a consumer expressly asks to retain a specific category of communication.
Service messages necessary to complete a request you initiated may continue where legally permitted, but they will not include marketing after an applicable opt-out.
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we process. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Use Centennial's designated secure document process for policies, medical information, government identifiers, financial account information, or other sensitive records. Do not send highly sensitive information by ordinary SMS unless Centennial specifically instructs you to use an approved secure method.
We use purpose-based retention. Retention periods depend on the type of information, why it was collected, insurance/regulatory requirements, carrier contracts, litigation or audit needs, security obligations, and consumer requests.
As a baseline:
Centennial's life insurance website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through this website. We do not knowingly use minors' personal information for targeted advertising. If we learn that information was collected from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete or restrict it.
Third-party carrier, scheduling, e-signature, document-upload, payment, or other services may have their own privacy policies. Centennial is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties acting independently of Centennial.
If a security incident involving personal information triggers a notification obligation, Centennial will provide notices to affected individuals, regulators, insurers, law enforcement, or other parties as required by applicable federal, state, or territory law.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, technology, vendors, or business practices. Material changes will be posted with a new Effective Date and, when required, additional notice or consent will be provided before applying a materially different use to previously collected information.
